Raid PolicyThe Royal Steel Raid Policy and Raid Loot Policy apply to all Royal Steel sponsored raids of instances requiring 20 or more individuals. Roster Selection GuidelinesBelow are guidelines that the officers and raid leaders have agreed upon for raid selection. Filling a raid is a very fluid process, requiring discretion on the part of the raid leader. They do their best to balance the success of the raid and honoring the guidelines listed below. Online forms will be provided for players to declare interest in a particular day's raid. At least a day before the raid, raid leaders will select the raid roster and make the information public. Each class will have an approximate equal representation. Expect 4-6 characters present for 40-man raids, or 2-3 present for 20-man raids when possible. Priorities for selection are as follows, from highest to lowest: 1. Raid leaders A "regular" from outside Royal Steel is defined as having 50%+ attendance in the last six weeks. "Regular" status for non-Royal Steel members only applies to a specific raid. A person will not have a higher priority for Molten Core just because he/she attended Onyxia frequently. Any character in Priority Group #2 not selected will receive a higher priority than other Group 2 players for the next available raid. A character not selected for an event, but allowed to attend due to the absence of others, still counts as being rotated out for the event. Other specifics of selection rotation will be handled at the discretion of the raid leader unless all members of a class have agreed upon a rotation system beforehand. Please note that significant tardiness or a failure to attend when selected without a valid excuse may result in being passed over for future raids at the discretion of the raid leader. Alternate CharactersMain and alternate characters within Royal Steel will receive equal treatment in raid selection & loot distribution, as the distinction is arbitrary. This will not extend to alts of non-guilded raiders that join us, or alts of Royal Steel members that are in other guilds. Players not selected for a popular class may be asked if they are willing to bring an alternate character for a less crowded class. This will count as not being selected for the player's desired class for that week. Link to Raid Loot Policy |
