Master Loot Policy

(usually for raids)

Recommendations

Loot rules should be stated clearly before the raid. The Master Looter should be separate from the raid leader and main tank. Any disputes should be handled by the raid leader.

Rolling on items for alts will not be allowed unless cleared with the raid leader before the raid begins.

Blues, Purples, and Set Pieces

Each player may state they "need" one blue or purple. The winner of a blue or purple is ineligble for another blue or purple until all raid members have received one.

Set pieces (i.e. Valor, Lightforge) are counted separately from regular blues & purples. Similarly, a random /100 will determine the winner if more than one player needs the item. Each player may only recieve one set piece until all other raid members of that class have received one. If no player of the intended class needs the set piece, it should be treated as a normal item.

Greens and Quest Items

Green equipment needed by a player and quest items do not count towards either the Blue/Purple quota or the Set Piece quota.

Bind on Pickups

Bind on Pickups will be distributed immediately after the battle in which they were dropped. All eligible players needing the item will roll a /random 100 to deterimine the winner.

If only an ineligible player needs the item, the raid party will be asked if there are any objections to giving the item to the player. If no player wants the item, it may be disenchanted, and the enchantment materials will be distributed in the lottery.

Bind on Equips

All non-Bind on Pickup items will be distributed after the completion of the raid. "Need" can be called on these items during the post-raid lottery.

Post-Raid Lottery

Any eligible players needing a lottery item may state their desire, and roll for it if necessary. All other items will be lotto'd.

The first lottery round will consist of all players that have not yet received a blue or purple (not including set pieces). All eligible players will /roll. Descending from highest roll to lowest, the players will have their choice of remaining items. After all players have received an item, all players become eligible again for any remaining lottery items. Successive lottery rounds will be held until all items have been distributed.

Set pieces handed out in the lottery rounds will be counted towards the standard blue/purple item quota.
